Joey Mahoney, Construction Director

jmahoney@habitatpasco.org

Joseph Mahoney was born in Tampa, Florida in 1972. He graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1990 with a GPA of 3.7, after begging to attend collage for a few months in the spring of 1991 he decided that he was ready to take on a huge opportunity that was presented to him. In August of 1991, he purchased a towing company (Professional Towing) that presently had 4 tow trucks and a small building and lot. Following 11 years of owning this company he was able to have 27 tow trucks and 3 offices. Joey sold this business and started working for Coke-Cola as district sales manager for 7 years. Then he decided to get involved in the construction field as his new profession. He worked for a construction company as a hands on superintendent that worked with commercial and residential construction. His background has always been in management and he thought that Habitat would be a perfect match and almost 4 years ago he started at Habitat as a construction supervisor managing 20 to 70 people a day and lowering our home cost by 18%. During this time he has obtained his General Contractors license and has since been promoted to the Construction Director of East and Central Pasco Habitat for Humanity.
